Heroes League Game Day Salutes Governor DeWine on Intel’s $20 Billion Investment in Ohio with New Manufacturing Facility
Heroes League Game Day extends its sincerest congratulations to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine for his recent announcement that Intel, Inc. has selected the State of Ohio for the construction of a state-of-the-art microchip manufacturing facility, which will become the largest on the planet. Heroes League Game Day looks forward to equipping today’s students with its game-based life skills learning platform that will be needed to fulfill an estimated 20,000 jobs that will be created over the next 5-10 years with this $20 Billion investment in our state by Intel. Among those jobs, approximately 3,000 will be directly at Intel, with approximately 7,000 construction jobs over the course of the construction and tens of thousands of additional indirect and support jobs including contracted positions, electricians, engineers, and jobs in restaurants, healthcare, housing, entertainment and more. It’s also reported that more than 140 existing Ohio businesses are already Intel suppliers, and the facility is expected to bring new businesses to support the supply chain.
“Heroes League Game Day will provide the state-of-the-art skills-based learning and training to equip the future exponential workforce demands in central Ohio among current generations of students with its platform,” said Dr. Thomas Reed, Commissioner of Heroes League Game Day. “America will be powered with current Ohio students who will lead the way for tomorrow’s global workforce.”
